Roy Lichtenstein

 

Roy Lichtenstein was born on October 27, 1923. He was one of the leading members of the Pop Art movement. He was prolific throughout his career and heavily influenced many of his contemporaries as well as artists who came after him. His works can be found in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The National Gallery, Washington DC and the Tate Modern to name a few. He died on September 29, 1997 in New York City.
